DescriptionJob Duties Responsibilities The Special Investigations Unit seeks a qualified candidate to join our Baltimore Metro area field investigative team. This position will be responsible for conducting insurance fraud investigations in those areas.
The candidate will work remotely and must be disciplined, organized, self-motivated and professional. The candidate must have the ability to handle a voluminous case load while conducting multiple field investigations. Candidate Qualifications The qualified candidate must possess a strong investigative background with a minimum of five years documented investigative experience in the area(s) of SIU, Claims, Internal Audit and/or law enforcement. The candidate should have a specialization in white collar crime or equivalent SIU or claims experience investigating bodily injury, PIP/Medical Payments, UM/UIM, and physical damage fraud claims. The qualified candidate will investigate all aspects of insurance fraud, to include claims and policy issues. The qualified candidate should have experience conducting face to face interviews, vehicle examinations, clinic inspections and medical bill/report analysis. Exceptional communication and writing skills are required .The applicant must be able to summarize investigative actions and findings into a detailed report. The candidate must have a working knowledge of all Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point) and be able to type a minimum of 25 WPM. A College degree is preferred and industry recognized professional designations (CFE, CIFI and FCLS) are a plus. Some overnight travel will be required with this position.
