Learn more at www.genzyme.com. The Director, Specialty Distribution will be a key contributor to the MS Franchise, with specific brand responsibilities for Aubagio and/or Lemtrada. They will have lead responsibility for strategic and tactical development of Specialty Distribution for our MS products. This includes ensuring success of end-to-end supply distribution, management and identification of suppliers, negotiating Specialty Pharmacy agreements and maximizing value for MS brands, identification of critical risk areas and developing mitigation strategies; implementing distribution control systems, and developing and designing the supply strategy for new MS product launch. The Director will also be responsible for the development and execution of partnership opportunities with key physician networks. The Director, Specialty Distribution will maintain a high level of collaboration and integration with both brand teams, market research, Patient and Program Services, training, account management teams and externally, with key contacts at Specialty Pharmacies.. They will be responsible for developing aspects of distribution platform from in house to patient delivery, all through the value chain. This includes Specialty Pharmacy and Buy and Bill strategic development. They will also ensure integration of payer marketing insights across MS Franchise and stakeholders through close collaboration with Professional and Consumer Marketing teams, as well as provide support around development of net pricing and contracting strategies across channels that maximize profitability. The Director, Specialty Distribution will be responsible for managing suppliers and agencies in relevant areas such as distribution and marketing, etc., to align activities and deliverables with overall brand and market access strategy Position reports to the VP, Payer and Channel Strategic Marketing and is based in Cambridge, MA The Director, Specialty Distribution is focused on:
• Specialty Pharmacy and Buy and Bill Strategy • Monitoring Specialty Distribution performance through regular tracking of key metrics • Coordinating and leading cross-functional teams to implement contract negotiations and discounting/rebate decisions that maximize profitability • Leadership in key account management training/launch meetings Qualifications • >10 years in-depth experience in Specialty Distribution, either on manufacturer, Specialty Pharmacy or distributor sides of business • Buy and Bill experience • MS, Oncology or related therapeutic/distribution experience • BA, BS, or equivalent required; Master's in Business Administration or other advanced degree preferred • Strong understanding and experience in different access and reimbursement models, including Parts B, D and Medicaid • Experience in developing and carrying out successful marketing plans, strategies and tactics, strongly desired • Strong sense of professionalism, accountability and urgency for defined areas of responsibility • Ability to communicate strategic direction and related concepts clearly, orally and in writing, across internal and external audiences (e.g., sales, marketing, advocacy) • Strong project management capabilities including time and events, scenario and contingency planning, and ability to ensure on time and on budget delivery of outputs and deliverables • Ability to develop and implement tactical executions that have high impact (e.g., marketing materials, special programs, etc.) • Ability to work effectively and efficiently with the medical/legal/regulatory submission and approval process to ensure appropriate review and timely delivery of materials • Capacity to engage effectively with agencies in order to translate marketing objectives into actionable and innovative strategies and solutions • Reliable and responsible management budgets and expenses • Effective interpersonal skills • Strong analytical skills • Proven ability to align internal stakeholders and achieve results through collaboration • Successful track record of driving performance within a matrix organization • Evidence of proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities • Experience working within the medical/regulatory/legal approval process • Financial management experience.M* Job : Marketing Primary Location : United States-Massachusetts-Cambridge Job Posting : May 8, 2013 Shift : Day Job Job Type : Regular Employee Status : Regular Apply on Company Website |
