Reliability Engineer The primary role of the Reliability Engineer is to implement the reliability program and identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant and/or business operations. The Reliability Engineer will be involved in loss elimination, risk management, and life cycle asset management and will have the freedom to develop programs and systems to guarantee asset availability. Duties include originating and developing analysis methods for determining reliability of components, equipment, and processes; analyzing equipment performance data; tracking of abnormally high maintenance cost assets; preparing diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations and reports for defining reliability problems, making recommendations for improvements and assessing asset health. Also included will be consulting on the design and installation stages of projects for new assets and modification of existing assets and determining the cost advantages of alternatives for developing action plans to comply with internal and external customer demands for reliable equipment/processes to avoid failure.
