Description
Serves as a liaison between GAMC/Adventist Health administration, departments, and clinical staff to ensure cost-effective utilization of products, services and processes, including but not limited to medical/surgical supplies, capital equipment, technology and process-related activities. Process improvement-related activities include operational and clinical resource management opportunities that improve operational and clinical efficiency while maintaining or enhancing the quality of patient care. Primary functions will include review and assessment of applicable financial, clinical, operational, and evidence based literature and appropriate assistance in the selection, evaluation, monitoring, analysis and implementation of cost effective products, services and processes in the hospital. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clinical, administrative, and hospital staff to ensure effective, results-oriented outcomes. These activities will be conducted while maintaining or improving the quality of care provided to patients. Demonstrates a consultative approach and unique ability to understand unstated needs and requirements. Demonstrates a consultative approach and unique ability to understand unstated needs and requirements. Minimum 5 years' experience in a health care related field. Managerial experience preferred. Clinical professional designation, such as an RN license, is preferred. Business degree or equivalent experience. Masters preferred. Knowledge of medical supplies, supply chain operations, and value and cost-benefit analysis. Duties require decisions that may necessitate devising new methods or modifying /adapting standard practices. Work is widely varied and involves significant variables. Requires development of data, recommendation and decisions. Problems require significant analysis and judgment. Requires planning of various interrelated activities; designing programs and approaches to major problems. Sets priorities, evaluates results and coordinates with others. Requires discretion and judgment in making decisions. Ability to facilitate work groups and performance improvement teams. Ability to use Microsoft Office programs proficiently, use AS 400 System, Cerner system and GE system for Cath Lab.
