The Teacher Assistant at the Children's Center will have a working knowledge of child development through education and experience. The Children's Center program is designed to care for the whole child, integrating all aspects of the child's development. The Center recognizes parents as the first and primary teacher and caregiver of their children. To this end each staff member works in cooperation with the child and his or her family in an integrated program that offers the best possible advantage to the child and his or her family. High School Diploma, or equivalent, and12 College Units of Early Childhood Education preferred. High School Diploma, or equivalent, and current enrollment in at least 6 Units in Early Childhood Education minimum. Some experience working with children in a group care setting preferred.
