Description
The Business Process Analyst is the key-contact for current systems
support between Information Technology and departmental
business/technical process customers. This position supports the
business area process needs with offerings of the current information
technology tool set.

Requirements
*
Bachelors Degree in related discipline or equivalent business/technical process work experience desired. Equivalent work experience must include: 3 years specific business/technical process experience or equivalent IT support of said business/technical process.

* Functional work experience or IT support work experience in the specific business/technical process area (Minimum 3 years for either).

* Functional work experience or IT work experience with specific IT technology is desired.

* Specific knowledge of the current Office product suite.

* Specific understanding of the business/technical process area or IT support knowledge for the specific business/technical process area.

* Specific understanding of one or more of the current information technology toolsets.

* Developing an understanding of basic cost/benefit analysis methods.

* Specific knowledge of java and java server pages and general web based technology.

* IBM System I (formerly AS/400), CA Plex , SQL, or RPG knowledge is a plus.

Tasks
* Provide system-wide support and maintenance for simple to moderately complex business/technical processes. Perform tasks necessary to ensure data and tables are maintained properly and on schedule. Respond to problems making joint decisions on how error correction should occur. Draw solutions from others and recommend courses of action.
* Collect business/technical system requirements. Organize for analysis by Business Process Consultant and Architect. Support implementation of new strategies through configuration interaction and creation of programming specifications for Information Technology Development staff.
* Participate in life-cycle testing (unit and integration) of all work processes including cross-business/technical unit interaction.
* Write and maintain all documentation supporting primary area of responsibility. This documentation may serve as input for management presentations or as training material for stakeholder community.
* Expand use of current technologies and interrelated business/technical process areas, as they apply to Goodyear. Increase breadth and depth of knowledge in these areas by attending training classes, reading courseware and interacting with others more expert in said area.
* Participate as part of the IT Development staff. Provide software coding for complex tasks that require significant programming skills as well as creative design skills. Act as technical support for IBM Iseries and Linux servers.
