* Analyze potential abuse and fraud cases and trends and advocate changes to product and engineering groups.
* Build real time systems to process large datasets in parallel on massive clusters.
* Increase efficiency through automation, improved signals, workflow streamlining and system optimization.
* Design, code and debug applications in various software languages.
* Design front-end graphical user interface.
Minimum qualifications

* BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field (In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant work experience).
* Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Java, C++, Perl, Python, PHP, or JavaScript.
* Experience with SQL.

Preferred qualifications

* 1 year relevant work experience.
* Experience in numerical analysis, algorithms and/or data-mining.
* Understanding of core webmaster skills.
* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
* Native fluency in multiple languages.

The Product Quality Operations (PQO) team fights for the users. We defend Google's integrity by combating spam, fraud and abuse of our products. It's a constant game of cat-and-mouse to stay ahead of the bad guys and ensure that our advertisers, publishers and users have a safe and seamless experience. We work with Engineering to define, communicate and enforce policies across nearly all of Google's products in over 40 languages. PQO team members use their technical know-how and work across functions to develop innovative solutions that always put the user first.
