* Design, implement and launch highly-visible, user-facing features.
* Develop new ways for YouTube users to find interesting content.
* Design and develop large scale web applications.
Minimum qualifications

* BS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant work experience).
* 2 years of relevant work experience.
* Excellent coding skill in C, C++, Java or Python.

Preferred qualifications

* MS or PhD in Computer Science.
* 4 years of relevant industry experience, including experience as an architect or technical lead on large project.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ablility to create strong working relationships with cross-functional teams.
* Experience with UNIX/Linux environments and network programming and in database programming, particularly MySQL.
* Experience in distributed computing, information retrieval, data mining and machine learning.
* Experience developing or designing large software systems.
