the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering
challenges we face daily. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead
complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering
expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects
through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project
schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project
stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and
recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs
in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects
of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving
processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

Responsibilities

* Provide strategic leadership by evangelizing and aligning owned products with those of internal partners, tracking dependencies and coordinating end-end scenario delivery.
* Work with product management, software engineering, and release engineering on all aspects of a project- from schedules, to feature lists, to test methodologies. Create and document new processes and tools wherever applicable.
* Work with Google Engineering teams to design, develop, implement, launch and support new services and enhance existing services.
* Develop and execute plans under a set of implementation and delivery time constraints, optimizing for a complex blend of product cost, service opportunity cost, and ongoing support costs.

Minimum qualifications

* BA/BS degree. In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant work experience managing complex, multi-group, multi-disciplinary projects.

Preferred qualifications

* 6 years of relevant work experience, 3 years industry experience including experience in managing large, complex projects.
