HCA Virginia's CJW Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia is seeking a Trauma Medical Director to lead the hospital in the development and implementation of a new Level II Trauma Center. Richmond is currently serviced by only one trauma center. Chippenham Hospital is expecting ~1350 cases with 90% blunt trauma and is scheduled to open with provisional designation 4th quarter of 2014.

Qualified candidates:

*Must be BC in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
*Must hold current ATLS certification
*Have proven track record in leading a designated Trauma Program, prefer 5+ yrs experience in leadership role
*Be willing to combine Administrative and Surgical Responsibilities (50/50)
*Have strong administrative and team building skills
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Chippenham Hospital provides the full scope of healthcare services. With 466 beds, we specialize in heart care at the Levinson Heart Hospital and emotional and mental health services through the Tucker Pavilion.
