Headway Corporate Resources has been entrusted to identify and hire a Reline Specialist to work with our client in the Ferndale, WA area!

In this role, you will perform duties associated with cutting pots out of circuit, starting pots, ramming, pot line repair work, pot trench cleaning, general demolition, operation of crushing units and clean up work and general rebuilding duties as assigned.

Additional Duties Responsibilities:
Operation and service of the Gradall and equipment for the demolition and removal of pot linings. Performs general steel and aluminum welding as well as oxy-acetylene cutting.
Installs pot line buss work, install and remove pot floors, hoods and other related equipment. Daily process decisions including job assignments, logistics, and timing.
Repairs and relines aluminum reduction cell linings, by utilizing various masonry tools and a variety of refractory material.
Makes production decisions for quality and quantity during the various operations associated with the reline process.
Attends to department needs of consumable parts, materials and tools. This includes performing inventories, entering warehouse issues, entering purchasing requisitions, contact with purchasing, contact with vendors and monitoring department budgets.
Operates the induction furnace to melt alloy cast iron.
Prepares cathode blocks for use in the pot by mating the steel cathode bar to the cathode block with cast iron.
Contributes to decisions for casting production and cast iron analysis.
Performs general plant duties as required.
Adherence to all Company Policies.

The successful candidate MUST possess a general level of education and specific knowledge for working with hazardous materials including eight (8) hours of annual refresher training. A general knowledge of reline areas is also required for this role.

Pay is commensurate with experience!
