Immediate 1-2 year Contract position available in the Newport News, VA area. Position may later have the opportunity for full-time permanent hire.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in the construction, building or real estate industry required
• Knowledge of construction means and methods, and building systems required
• Very knowledgeable in assembling and issuing bids
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate with General Contractors, Architects, Engineers and Project Managers
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and execute bid solicitations
• Negotiate contracts
• Review construction documents
• Review and assess change orders
• Manage construction and facility setup
• Responsible for adherence to construction budgets
• Ensure successful completion of projects
