Hennen's Observer, a nationally ranked literary magazine/social network based in High Point, North Carolina is currently looking for an ambitious journalism student or aspiring writer to produce content for our blog, The Week in Review. Conceived as a compliment to our website (hennensobserver.com), The Week in Review sets out to mine the best in flash fiction, news, features, and photojournalism from across North Carolina and the rest of the country. All our contributors are compensated with money, travel reimbursements or college credits. There are no firm "guidelines" as per the blog--just write what comes out of your head (within limits, of course).

Writers have been name-checked by Flash Quake, Urban Zen and other nationally ranked magazines. This is a great addition to your portfolio.
