The RetailReplenishment / Demand Planner will coordinate the flow of all .com inventory with the objective to maximize Sales on the digital platform and optimize inventory for a merchandising department.
The RetailReplenishment / Demand Plannerwillwork withthe buying teams to drive sales while achieving optimal inventory levels, customer focused in-stock percentages, a timely flow of merchandise and forecast accuracy.
•Collaborate with Planners, Buyers and Merchandising Assistants on a daily basis to determine merchandise plans to support the category sales plans. Initiate purchase orders and determine optimal order frequency to support plans and/or respond to sales variances.
•Monitor, create, and analyze day to day creation of purchase orders using a variety of import and domestic replenishment purchase order systems to effectively flow inventory to warehouses and stores for assigned departments optimizing in-stock and executing effective inventory flow adjusting to sales fluctuations and keeping within set inventory budgets.
•Research and investigate vendor and warehouse out of stocks and implement corrective action
•Update and correct replenishment settings on-line, and communicate action taken
•Determine best solutions for flowing merchandise to meet inventory targets
•Responsible for reviewing, updating and adjusting seasonal profiles for specific categories
•Responsible for availability at Distribution Centerand updating teams on availability at Vendor locations
•Analyze reports daily to identify issues that impact in-stock/inventory
•Communicate stock availability issues to merchandise group
•Collaborate with Logistics and Vendors to resolve Distribution Center problem freight and non-compliance issues
•Review replenishment strategies with our suppliers to ensure that they meet our expectations on in-stock and inventory targets
•Identify and resolve Aged Inventory in the Distribution Centers and recommend corrective action
•Enter Forecast for new items on replenishment
•Analyze past and current business and provide recommendation to merchandising on improvement opportunities.
•Review of Supplier minimum’s and recommend changes to the Merchandising team
•Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years in retail Operations, Replenishment or Supply Chain experience
•Minimum 3 years of experiencein retailinventory control and merchandising
•Understanding of the supply chain and retail buying item lifecyle process
•Proficient computer skills – Microsoft Suite , Data Warehouse Systems , etc.
