Description
Develops and manages marketing strategies and programs through interpreting customer data and insights, both internal and external, to identify areas of opportunity. Leverages CRM data and insights while partnering with Merchandising colleagues to shape category and product strategy. Collaborates with Marketing Communications and Merchandising teams on the execution of cross-functional category programs and events. Establishes and manages marketing relationships with vendors. Evaluates current and potential programs and strategies. Identifies areas of opportunity and improvement. Analyzes reports and information and makes recommendations to senior leadership and clients. Presents recommendations and strategies to leadership and partners. Establishes and achieves financial and qualitative benchmarks. Provides reports to senior leadership as needed. Establishes, maintains and grows collaborative relationships throughout organization to maximize program/campaign goals. This individual is also responsible for developing brand positioning, creating strategic marketing campaigns and communicating the overall brand vision for product launches, emerging businesses and existing key products. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Develops and executes strategic brand marketing plans for merchandise priorities via television, database marketing, online marketing, email marketing, external advertising and press outreach to increase sales and expand the customer base.
  • Develops plan by stating the objective, defining the strategies, establishing the timetable, identifying the audience, providing strategic direction (Creative Brief), proposing tactics, and developing brand positioning to identify unique selling proposition for brands within assigned categories.
  • Develops brand positioning, creates strategic marketing campaigns and communicates the overall brand vision for new product launches, emerging businesses and existing key brands.
  • Leads brand development for new proprietary businesses, including entire look and feel, brand name, packaging, logos and collateral supporting the brand's positioning and key benefits.
  • Collaborates with CRM to identify areas of opportunity within category and brand customer bases consumer information and insights. Utilizes this information to create effective targeted marketing plans to grow the customer file, identify new business opportunities and drive incremental sales.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
  • 5-7 years marketing experience, including specific Brand Marketing experience.
  • Category management experience.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess strong project management and people management skills.
  • Have strong analytical, organizational, critical-thinking, problem-solving and presentation skills.
  • Have strong business aptitude and ability to interface with and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Must be efficient and effective in multi-tasking.
  • Have the ability to develop PL/budget and manage monthly tracking to goal.
