Hydroshare Digital Distribution offers its file-sharing platform to recording artists looking to release a free album without devaluing their music. Run by veteran file sharers and music industry executives (actually working together?!), our small company is tackling many of the issues embedded in the controversial SOPA and PIPA bills head on. Our interns understand how file-sharing is utilized as a marketing strategy by recording artists across all genres, and thus must be protected and cultivated for the good of the new music industry.
