The Location

The Role
As an Assistant Chief Engineer at the InterContinental Riyadh, you will be reporting directly to the Director of Engineering. Your core responsibilites will include the following:
* To place the Fire, Life and Safety policies before anything.
* Ensure the efficient operation of the Hotel property and all its equipment.
* Repair and Maintenance of the structural aspect of the hotel in a scrupulous and effective manner.
* Assist in the financial management of the engineering department as far as adhereing to the maintenance budgets and energy management programmes are concerned.
* Raising awareness of staff at every level of operation of the importance of energy mangement and conservation.
* Ensuring that all subordinate staff are well qualified and technically compentent by involving in the selection, training and development process.

Qualifications:

Qualifications and Technical Skills
The ideal Assistant Cheif Engineer must possess a degree in Engineering from a recognized Technical College, at least two years demonstrable experience in a similar position (preferably in the hotel industry). Fluency of the English Language both written and spoken is essential and other languages such as Arabic, etc will be an advantage.
