We are currently looking for a Restaurant Commie Chef to join our new team at InterContinental Osaka in Japan. InterContinental Osaka is a brand new luxury hotel in Osaka Japan scheduled to be open in the summer of 2013. The hotel comprises of 270 luxurious rooms and service apartments, along with restaurants, bar and banqueting facilities. The hotel is well located in the heart of the city, Osaka Station North Yard, which features a concentration of urban amenities, high-end offices and 10,000 sqm plaza and pedestrian mall. The new social centre of Osaka.

You will be under direct control of Restaurant Sous Chef and be responsible in supporting the operation of the restaurant kitchen, including food preparation and quality, physical maintenance, and inventory functions, to ensure hotel quality standards and revenue goals are met and food and supply costs are controlled.

Qualifications:

Ideally, you have completed a degree or certificate in Culinary Arts and three years of experience in the kitchen operation. Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency. Must be able to communicate (read, write and speak) in Japanese & English(Basic).
