The Location
Nestled just outside the centre of one of the wealthiest cities in the world, the InterContinental Riyadh is around 30 minutes away from the King Khaled International Airport and 5 minutes from the city centre. In addition to 275 rooms the InterContinental Riyadh boasts a nine-hole golf course which is the only five-star Hotel in the Kingdom that offers such facilities. The Role
As a Houseman at the InterContinental Riyadh, you will be reporting directly to the Floor Supervisor. At ICH Riyadh, we expect employees of all fields to have a keen eye for detail and aesthetics to some extent and this quality must reflect in the work that you do. Here at our hotel, honesty is very much recognized and appreciated and never goes unnoticed. As a Houseman in the InterContinental Hotel, you must be able to enthusiastically and passionately deliver the InterContinental Hotel's At Your Side Service. To do this you must be able to adapt to our standards and our guests' expectation of high quality service. After attending our training sessions on 'At Your Side' service, you must at all times; Be Charming, Stay in the Moment and Make it Memorable with every guest that may approach you for some assistance. Your core responsibilities as Houseman will include the following:
* Sweeping, scrubbing, mopping and sanitizing all public areas (does not entail the maintenance of Guest rooms, Recreation area or Staff housing compound) such as: Offices, Corridors, Lobby area, Restrooms etc.
* Ensures refilling of dispensers with liquid hand wash, hand sanitizer etc. when and as required.
* To efficiently utilize all chemicals, and other disposable items by minimizing waste and/or pilferage.
* To acknowledge the presence of guests and colleagues at all times.
* Comply with Hotel's Health, Safety and Hygiene Policy.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 1-3 years experience in a similar capacity will be an advantage, also cleanliness and personal hygiene level must be apparent and consistent. English being the common language used between colleagues at InterContinental Riyadh, basic knowledge of the Arabic and Hindi languages will also be advantageous.
