As an Outside Laundry Attendant , you will provide an exceptional service in all aspects of the laundry. You will ensure company brand standards of quality and cleanliness are maintained at all times whilst meeting the needs of the business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Receives soiled dry cleaning/laundry items from outside customer and senior officers of the Hotel.
· Informs customer of procedures, etc.
· Computes dry cleaning and laundry charges.
· Issues claimed items to customers.
· Hangs finished items chronologically in the racks.
· Calls customers to remind them of overdue items.
· Checks quality of processed laundry and dry cleaning work to ensure optimum quality of work.
· Reports any malfunctioning of equipment to the Laundry Supervisor or Manager
· Helps during inventory periods.
· Helps in packing/sorting of items if needed.
· Maintain the cleanliness of the area.
· Handle the machines with utmost care and according to instructions.
· Procure supplies for Outside Laundry use.
· Performs other duties related to cashiering dictated by new shop procedures and machines.
· Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisors.
· Any valuables or items found needs to be informed to the customer immediately by coordinating with Laundry Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must be able:
· 1 year previous experience in this role is preferred
· Minimum 1 year experience in a 4* or 5* Hotel - Housekeeping/Laundry Department
· Excellent communication skills
· Must have a pleasant physical appearance and professional disposition with guest and colleagues
· Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
