Crowne Plaza Dubai-Deirais a few metres away from shopping malls and from the newly build Dubai rail system, linking you with the rest of this exciting city, including the famous Jumeirah district and the Emirates Shopping Mall. The hotel is located only 15 minutes' drive from Dubai International Airport . The hotel is an ideal venue for experiencing great room comfort, delectable cuisines and banquet and catering facilities.

At the moment we're looking for Reservations Sales Agent to join our friendly and professional team at Crowne Plaza Dubai-Deira. AsReservations Sales Agent, you will be responsible for optimising the hotel's RGI (Revenue Generation Index) - measuring the hotel's position as compared to the competition. He or she works with the Revenue Consultant to provide modelling and revenue generation rates by coordinating the daily Revenue Management tools and processes for the hotel. The primary functions include data collection, data entry, maintenance of tools and conducting strategic analysis of data to gain experience in the hotel Revenue Management field and also performs light administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

Process reservations by email, telephone, fax or central reservation systems referral.
Process reservations from the sales office, other hotel departments, and travel agents.
Know the type of rooms available as well as their location and layout.
Know the selling status, rates, and benefits of all packages plans.
Know the credit policy of the hotel and how to code each reservation.
Determine room rates based on the selling tactics of the hotel.
Process cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this information to the front desk.
Understand the hotel's policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows.
Process and monitor advance deposits on reservations.
Track future room availabilities on the basis of reservations.
Help develop room revenue and occupancy forecasts.

Open and close the availability as and when required of hotel in all the GDS channels, IDS channels and on the hotel website.
Configure rates on the hotels property management system.
Track daily the Turnaways in efficient manner on the PMS
Know how to work on Hotel PMS, including Holidex, Opera
Ensure and maintain the accuracy of data and information on the system
Perform other related tasks as assigned by management
Promote goodwill by beings courteous, friendly, and helpful to guests, mangers, and fellow employees.
Build a great rapport with clients (guests & bookers) and colleagues (outside of the hotel & inside the hotel and/or department)
Maintain a clean and neat appearance and work area at all times.
Ensure that proper communication and Handover is given to other team member when going on vacation on leave
Prepare letters of confirmation.
Communicate reservation information to the front desk.
Make sure that files are kept up to date.
Follow-up and prepare visa application requests through PRO
Create and maintains reservation records by date of arrival and alphabetical listing.
Ensure the safety of colleagues is utmost and inform the management of any hazards.
Ensure the commitment toward reducing usage of papers and supporting team members on the Green Engage program.
Adhering to the PCI-DSS standards while handling sensitive credit card information.
To be fully aware of and adhere to health and safety, fire and bomb threat procedures.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working within Revenue, Reservations and Sales & Marketing Department or similar environment
Preferrably with 5-Star Hotel experience
Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
Excellent Hospitality Skills
Proficiency and strong knowledge in Excel
Pro-active and reliable
Able to work alone and within a team
