DescriptionCoordinate, promote, and support Project InVEST educational programs and projects in Nebraska, including but not limited to:
Community College Curriculum/Degree Programs: promote to community college administrators; assist in program initiation and development; promote to prospective students and supporters; coordinate ongoing program administration and scholarship opportunities oNortheast Community College (NECC) Insurance Studies Program ?In cooperation with college staff, actively promote program to prospective students, including high school graduates, industry personnel, and career-changers Identify key program target groups and develop working data base Develop and distribute promotional materials and electronic communications Develop and coordinate volunteer network to communicate regularly with local target groups (ie, students, industry personnel) ?Assist in ongoing program development: recruitment of instructors, development of course materials ?Coordinate and implement promotion and administration of IIAN Foundation/ Project InVEST scholarship programs oStatewide Program Development ?Promote Project InVEST to targeted community colleges in Nebraska ?Coordinate program development activities, including developing industry advisory committee, providing program resources, and recruiting industry speakers Fundraising: In cooperation with volunteer leaders of the IIAN Foundation, develop and coordinate fundraising campaign(s) to support College Career/Job Liaison: Promote independent agency system at college career/job fairs; coordinate distribution of student information to members Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director. INTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:Report to Executive Director. Collaborate closely with Marketing Representative. Coordinate activities with Office Administrator. EXTERNAL RELATIONSHIPS:Communicate frequently with association members, IIAN Foundation leaders, high school/college students and administrators, and national Project InVEST staff members. QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate would be a degree candidate in a four-year institution, in communications or marketing, with an interest in the non-profit sector, and coursework in or experience using office and graphics software. The candidate must be self-motivated, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, good organizational skills and the ability to travel, work independently.
