DescriptionTitle: Area Sales Manager - Nordics
Location: Sweden Role To grow the business for Heating Controls products in a particular region through: 1. providing regional "push" sales support through increases sales establishment of distribution networks, and 2. ensuring "pull" into the marketplace through driving contract specifications and over-the-counter sales Main Responsibilities * Engage with, support and contribute to the delivery of the Nordics strategy for growth of the Heating Controls business, by developing brand awareness of Heating products, and executing sales and marketing initiatives. * Identify and develop relationships with key potential customers (installers and distribution wholesalers and OEMs) to establish new business channels and drive sales growth of Heating Controls products. "Implement" these relationships by putting in place the key elements of the commercial relationship (pricing, terms and conditions etc), working with other functions as appropriate. * Act as primary interface between Invensys and existing customers to ensure full customer satisfaction. Proactively and professionally handle any issues that may arise. * Provide technical advice and recommendations to customers (installers and channel partners) through site visits, training, demonstrations by visiting customers and prospects for demonstrations. As appropriate, prepare materials to respond to requests for proposals from prospective customers, working with Engineering, Product Management and Technical Sales Support as required. * Work with channel partners on the development and implementation of promotional initiatives. * Provide market, competitor and customer intelligence back to other functions within the Heating Controls business. In particular, support the development of appropriate products for the Nordics market through providing proactive feedback or as requested to Product Marketing and Engineering. * Provide robust sales forecasts and sales performance data. Education Engineer or certified technician or Graduate in a Business or related discipline Essential * Selling and negotiation skills - how to develop sustainable customer relationships which result in sales for Invensys. * The ability to quickly develop sound technical knowledge of the product and industries in which the Company operates * Good communication and presentations skill * Availability to explain and train customer on complex technical subjects * Commercial and financial acumen * Use of IT systems including email, excel and other software packages * Fluent in Swedish or Norvegian * Ability to operate effectively in an English-speaking business environment Desirable * Knowledge of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) market in Nordics countries * Detailed Product Knowledge to demonstrate how Invensys Products can deliver functional benefits to the customer. * Likely to have a minimum 3 years of national sales experience of complex customer structure and product base Other 80% travel (mainly in Poland and Nordics) associated with the role.
