Title: Project Accountant

Invensys Rail is expanding its operations across Asia Pacific and to give vigour to our continued growth and expansion into new markets, we have an opportunity for a Project Accountant to be part of our Finance Team based in Singapore.

The project accountant is a newly created role reporting to Finance Manager - Singapore. The role is responsible for the following:

Accountabilities:

Supervision of the accounting, collecting and Payment, documentation and filing processes for the Singapore projects.

*
Compilation of the Costs, Cash-Flow and sales

*
Establishment of Control over the Budget. Preparation and follow up of the Forecast of: Costs, Purchases, Invoices, Cash flow etc.

*
Consolidation of the Singapore project within APAC

*
Production of Project Review Reports for APAC

*
Supervision of all the taxes applicable to the Singapore project.

Essential Competencies:

*
Ability to speak, read and write fluently in English.

*
Degree in Finance or accounting with demonstrable knowledge in local laws.

*
Previous working experience in similar role for about 4-8 years.

*
Experience in financial management and reporting of Long Term Contracts (POC accounting)

*
Working knowledge in accounting and reporting systems (i.e. Baan ERP, HFM, SAP etc.)

*
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Lotus Notes.

*
Methodical and organized with good communication skills.

*
Self-motivated.

Desirable competencies:

*
Knowledge of local taxes.

*
Ability to work with little supervision

*
Prior working experience with a Big 4 accounting firm

*
Management & Statutory Reporting and Internal Control of the Singapore projects
