Description:

The Solution Architect role represents the most senior level of technical competency with regard to the implementation of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within the MES Practice. As such, the Solution Architect is responsible for overseeing and guiding the solutions that are specified for our customers during the requirements and design phases of our projects to ensure that best practices are followed. The Solution Architect is typically responsible for providing this oversight to more than one project at a time. The Solution Architect is also responsible for working with his/her peers to stay abreast of new Wonderware product releases and the product roadmap, as well as related industry technologies, to continue to define new and refine existing implementation best practices and maintain the MES Practice’s competitive edge.

Must have excellent communication (both written and verbal), organization and software application design and development skills. In addition to possessing the highest level of technical proficiency in the technologies cited below, the Solution Architect must have excellent leadership skills and demonstrated experience in providing guidance to more junior technical resources. Ability to present and/or interact directly with customers in a professional manner is essential. Responsible for guiding and participating in the development of functional requirements and design specifications. Experience in either working directly for, or providing services to, manufacturing is required. Domain experience in the Food & Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Metals industries is a plus. Responsible for working under the direction of a project manager to complete assigned tasks. As a member of a billable project and consulting services organization, the Solution Architect must be able to work within defined schedules and budgets to meet the specified scope of work. Travel up to 35% is required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree, with a major in Engineering or Computer and Information Science preferred. Post graduate work desirable.

Requires a minimum of 8 to 10 years of project experience in delivering information solutions for manufacturing, with at least half of that experience consisting of senior-level leadership positions on project teams. The candidate must also be able to demonstrate at least 3 years of successful Wonderware MES (Operations and Performance) project experience and the highest levels of proficiency in the following technologies:

- Wonderware MES (Operations and Performance), InTouch and System Platform

- Microsoft Visual Studio, including VB.Net and/or C#

- Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server
