Description
Title: Sr. Technical Sales Consultant - Instrumentation - Alberta
Location: California
Responsible for providing primarily pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions. Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations. May prepare detailed product specifications.

Key Functions;

• Promote Foxboro M&I products thru all IOM channels
• Act as regional liaison for M&I Products with Foxboro M&I manufacturing and product marketing
• Provide technical assistance and M&I product training to our Channel Partners and clients
• Providing feedback to the factories about market requirements and customer needs

The M&I Technical Sales Consultant will work closely with the Regional Channel Manager to promote the M&I growth in Western USA & Canada and report directly to the Western Region Channel Sales Director. The M&I TSC will be responsible for support the IOM M&I Channel Partners in Western US and Canada and providing technical application knowledge to our clients. The total Sales plan for the assigned territory would be identified so that we can track the success & results. .Job Essential Functions

• Create and maintain territory sales plan
• Identify prospects and create entry strategies for each
• Utilize business and financial knowledge to create value propositions
• Execute competitive sales tactics to win business
• Coordinate deal crafting and positioning
• Lead or participate in contract negotiations
• Manage demand and qualify opportunities

Education:

Undergraduate degree, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science

Experience:

• 3 - 5 years of complex, solution selling sales experience in an IOM targeted industry.
• Strong technical knowledge: Process instrumentation and process applications
• Industrial client base: Power, Oil & Gas, Chemical, Petro-Chemical, large scale Industrial Plants. (Mandatory)
• Past experience in closing deals of $1-5 Million in contract value
• Knowledgeable of Business Solutions and Manufacturing Applications
• Established track record of meeting/exceeding yearly quota
• Experience in business transformation solutions
• Capability to understand IOM M&I offerings and articulate those offerings to the industry and prospects
