Software Development Engineer – Avantis.PRO
Reports to Manager, Avantis.PRO Software Development
Location: Burlington, Ontario

The Software Development Engineer will design, develop and test software systems or applications for the Avantis.PRO application, including software enhancements and new products. Duties may also include configuration and release engineering. The candidate will use professional concepts and company objectives to resolve issues in creative and effective ways and using demonstrated creativity and ingenuity.

The Software Development Engineer is an entry level role, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

* Work in an energetic software engineering environment using Agile-Scrum process to develop industry leading software.
* Participate in design activities related to the Avantis.PRO software product
* Participate in development and testing of software systems or applications
* Use automated testing tools and techniques for the whole development project life cycle in order to ensure the development of high quality software
* Provide answers to customer inquiries concerning system software and applications.
* Build productive working relationships internally and externally


Experience:

*
Knowledge or experience with C , C#.Net, Microsoft Visual Studio Net, SQL Server and Oracle database skills.
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, self-motivated
*
Energetic, customer focused and team oriented
*
Excellent logical and creative problem-solving skills, oral and written communication, and analytical skills

* Typically requires a minimum of 2-4 years of related experience.
* BS Computer Science preferred
* Recent Graduate with Internship experience preferred.
