Location: AsiaPac Invensys Operations Management is a global technology, software and consulting organization. Job Summary Responsible for delivery of the cost, schedule, scope, and quality requirements defined by a client contract. Serves as primary focal point for all communications between the company and the client during a project ending with the final acceptance of capitalized equipment, enterprise software systems, or system integration or consulting projects/engagements. May work at client site on a day-to-day or periodic basis. Ensures customer satisfaction of information technology solutions by managing the details of overall project schedules, budgets, and deliverables. Typically uses more project management skills than technical skills. Services may be provided on a fee-for-service basis or be included as part of the purchase price for company products. Usually involves extensive interaction with sales, systems engineering, product development, and other members of cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products to clients. Plans and directs schedules and may monitor budget/spending. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery. Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Interaction Interfaces with senior internal and external personnel in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, and Contracts. Knowledge A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of Project Management; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. Broad application experience with majority of Company products. Extensive knowledge of Control Instrumentation products and application. Identify assess and resolve unique business, commercial, and technical risks associated with assigned projects. Responsible for preparation of new order reviews, transfer report analysis, monthly status reports, manpower loading reports and close-out notices. Establishes project schedule and cost budgets and is responsible for all financial activity associated with the project. Where discrepancies exist, the project manager communicates this to the senior management for resolution. Responsible for initiating following through on all invoicing. Establishes post order service support and training requirements as well as initiates spare parts recommendations. Job Complexity Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Compares customer order with original quotation to determine variances and is responsible for necessary contractual revisions before acceptance or order, including, all terms and conditions, technical specifications, delivery commitments, documentation needs, and any other customer requirements. Responsible for the managing the preparation of all engineering documentation and specifications required to successfully implement the project within the Company. Establishes procedures to be used for all performance testing and demonstrations culminating with formal customer acceptance. Supervision Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Integrates and delegates technical requirement to assigned functional team members and/or functions as team member on own projects, as needed. Develops performance evaluation for department managers of team members assigned to projects. Under general guidance, directs individually, or as a manager of a project team, those major sales orders which require business and technical expertise. Assumes total responsibility for managerial, administrative and technical direction of the total project within the company. Education B.S., M.S. in Engineering or related discipline and/or an M.B.A. Experience Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of Senior Project Engineering or related experience. 8 years overall professional experience.
