Job Description Responsible for assisting senior level Human Resource personnel in providing support to the organization in one or more of the following areas: benefits, compensation, employee services, employee development, recruitment, medical and leaves of absence, employee records, security and training.
Solves problems of limited scope and complexity. Compiles data and information into useful report/graphic form.
Completes required reports/metrics as required to appropriate internal/external customers.
Interfaces with employees answering questions and problems, referring the complex issues to senior level personnel.
Responsible for administration of policies, procedures and programs for area of responsibility including answering/investing employee questions/complaints.
Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
.Develop and coordinate personnel programs & policies
.Provide analysis, reports and presentations as needed
.Conduct periodic audits of employee payroll and benefits to ensure compliance with Federal, State Corporate and union regulations
.Will represent the company to outside agencies in regards to employee issues and events
.Assists employees on matters regarding personnel forms, records, procedures, benefits.
.Provide administrative assistance for human resources programs such as suggestion program, recreation programs.
.Recruits, interviews and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
.Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
.Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
.Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
.Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
Required Experience: Bachelor''s degree from four-year College or university; Business Administration; Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Human Resource systems; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Must be proficient with MS office software. Due to high internal and external customer interface must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and present a professional image. Must be highly accurate and detail oriented.
