Description
JPMorgan Chase Co. (NYSE: JPM) is a leading global financial services firm with assets of $2 trillion and operations in more than 60 countries. The firm is a leader in investment banking, financial services for consumers, small business and commercial banking, financial transaction processing, asset management, and private equity. The Corporate Internet Group (CIG) supports public Internet sites for all lines of business within J. P. Morgan Chase. CIG is comprised of over 400 professionals located in Delaware, Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Washington. The group consists of senior business strategists, developers, infrastructure and architecture specialists, information architects, usability professionals, interactive designers, editors and other project support and operations staff. CIG works closely with all lines of business (LOB) including: Auto Lending, Business Banking, Card Services, Commercial Banking, Education Finance, Home Lending, Investing, Private Bank, Private Client Services, Retail and Treasury. J.P. Morgan Chase's online sites are currently among the top ranked in the industry. CIG's goal is to provide consistent, integrated internet applications that are intuitive, dependable and easy to use for all customers. Given that goal, a CIG architect's primary job is to support project delivery as a senior technical resource working to define the project approach in concert with the leads in each functional area [development, customer experience, quality assurance, operations, and technical operations]. Since the site and supporting systems are constantly evolving, a CIG architect is also responsible for defining strategic direction, as well as supporting site and system maintenance as a knowledge source. As a CIG architect specializing in Retail products, you will work closely with other architects, developers and leads, customer experience teams, and LOB staff to develop and maintain the technical direction of the CIG internet properties used by customers with Retail products. The CIG web sites consist of common framework code, implementation patterns, execution process patterns, and engagement patterns tied to the aggregation and invocation of page features within the CIG online servicing applications. The applications are integrated with content management and security platforms in order to support the public properties for which CIG is responsible. You'll proactively engage CIG and other Chase stakeholders to ensure that the technical roadmaps and blueprints are in line with the LOB's business and product strategies. Your ability to collaborate and reach consensus in a high paced environment will be a significant and required asset. The position will require you to identify issues in a collaborative environment and bring those issues to closure independently. You will be challenged to understand the real needs of the business, and to balance those needs with the existing technical constraints and expected operational impacts in order to develop a solution that is ultimately the best option for the Bank. Responsibilities include:
  • Support project execution by enforcing the use of existing platform implementation patterns, or evolving/creating new implementation patterns
  • Develop, document, and maintain the platform technology roadmap for the Retail Financial Services servicing features by release and/or deployment date for future 12 months
  • Create and/or maintain the technical documentation for the platform based on changes from executing the roadmap
  • Support investigatory exercises with business and technical staff for future platform enhancements, and for new business feature deployments
