Department Description The JPMorgan Chase (JPMC) Audit Department is accountable to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, the Office of the Chairman, senior management and our global and local regulators. The global Audit Department has in excess of 500 auditors, based globally in all regions, including Asia. Within the Audit Department, the India Audit team is responsible for assessing the adequacy of the control environment across JPMorgan Chase business activities in India which include the India revenue businesses (employing over 500 employees) and India service functions (employing over 18,500 employees) which provide operations and technology support to JPMC businesses globally. This is achieved through a program of audit coverage performed and managed by a team of technology and business audit specialists and coordinated on a global basis with colleagues in the US, Asia and Europe. In addition, the team is involved in assessing the adequacy of control over significant projects including business reorganization, technology developments/conversions, and transition management. Position Description This role is for an experienced technology auditor to join the Corporate Investment Bank Audit Team in Mumbai. The focus for this role is the execution of technology audits across the local India Corporate Investment Bank revenue businesses and the Global Service Centre which supports the JPMC Corporate Investment Bank businesses globally, and providing support to global audits as required. The ideal candidate should have experience of performing application audits, integrated audits and reviews of large projects and systems conversions within a global financial services organization. Responsibilities
  • Work closely with business and technology audit colleagues to ensure that key risks are identified and assessed in the program of audit coverage.
  • Assist in all aspects of audits including risk assessments, audit planning, audit testing, control evaluation, report drafting and follow up and verification of issue closure.
  • Perform audit work in accordance with department and professional standards, and complete assignments in an efficient manner.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of audit coverage.
  • Write audit work papers and reports with minimal intervention by the Audit manager.
  • Partner with colleagues, stakeholders and control community members to evaluate, test and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls with appropriate recommendations for improvement. This may be delivered through specific audit reviews or through ongoing involvement in major activities or projects.
  • Some travel (approx 20%) around the Asia Pacific region may occasionally be required to execute certain audits.
