Description
Responsible for country-wide overall direction and control of Human Resources functions throughout the organization, including recruitment, training development, performance management, industrial relations / employee relations, salary and benefits administration, compensation, personnel record management and HRIS, implement various global / regional HR initiatives in the country and staff welfare, based on regional guidance and policy. The role requires one who thrives in a demanding, fast paced environment where the ability to leverage resources from multiple areas to deliver results.It is important for the individual to be able to operate effectively within a highly matrixed organization. Responsibilities:
- Work with Regional HR teams to translate deliver business aligned HR initiatives
- Provide creative and pragmatic advice / guidance to business heads and management teams to effectively manage and resolve human resources issues whilst ensuring all actions conform to regulatory / legislative requirements; best practices and corporate policies
- Support the year end compensation process, ensuring consistent and fair decisions are made in the promotion, bonus and salary increase processes
- Establish and maintain links to the external marketplace / competitor landscape to ensure that our compensation and benefits package remains competitive in the local market place
- Work through the resolution of Employee Relation cases with the HR Business Partners in the region, being actively involved on the process and decisions relating to complex cases with financial and / or legal risk
- Partner closely with the Recruitment and Learning Development teams to ensure an effective delivery of the People agenda
- Advisory role to Business Unit Heads and management team
- To lead the HR team to ensure smooth and accurate delivery of HR related functions
- To manage and control the department expenditure within approved budgets
- To focus in upgrading employees competence in People Management
- To provide counseling and coaching to employees
- Ensure that all HR related program, policies and procedures are followed and implemented in accordance to established rules and regulations
- Manages and oversees all function and activities of the Human Resources Dept.
- Ensure that the company is in compliance with all employment laws and regulations
- Facilitates strategic management by acting as an internal organizational consultant
- Plan, organizes, select, motivates and trains Human Resources staff.
- Be an active member of the HR International Banks Networking Group
