Job Description J.P. Morgan has a key strategy to support offshore Renminbi (RMB) products and platforms as the currency continues on the path of internationalisation, and dynamic regulatory and platform changes. In recognition of our commitment to the RMB strategy, across our lines of business in Asia Pacific and globally, the Compliance Department is seeking a highly motivated and experience Compliance leader to join the Hong Kong Compliance team. This integral role will focus on assisting the J.P. Morgan Franchise in managing compliance risk of offshore RMB, working closely with Compliance Officers in mainland China and other key locations across the region. You will provide compliance and regulatory advisory for all lines of business and their associated support functions, including Corporate Investment Bank, Private Bank, Asset Management and Commercial Banking, including advice on existing and developing RMB related regulations and key initiatives. You will collaborate with compliance officers across the region, and various other functional partners (including Legal, Audit, Risk, Controllers, Treasury) to assist with the management of compliance and regulatory risks associated with all offshore RMB products and services, cross border issues and mainland related exposures. You will focus on RMB, but will be required to ensure a consistent approach with elements of our global compliance program. The position includes evaluating compliance with relevant regulations, issue identification, assessing the impact of regulatory change and working with business management to build and maintain control mechanisms to remain in compliance with laws and regulations and to protect the reputation and franchise of the business. You will contribute to innovative, influential thought leadership to shape compliance insights and agenda at formal and informal regulatory and industry forums. You will also drive the institutionalisation of regulatory relationships through active engagement and consultation. Other aspects of the role in supporting J.P. Morgan's RMB strategy and compliance programme include regulatory risk assessments, establishment of policies and performing training. The role may also prepare management and governance reports as needed.
