Job Description JPMorgan has a significant Equities presence across 12 countries in Asia requiring pro-active management of the compliance risk associated with highly dynamic regulatory and platform changes. The Compliance Department is seeking a highly motivated and experienced compliance leader to join the Asia Pacific Compliance team and drive this coverage activity. As the individual who takes on this critical role, you will assist the Head of Regional Equities Compliance in managing the compliance risk associated with operating the Equities businesses in Hong Kong, working closely with Compliance Officers across the region whilst coordinating globally, particularly with the US and London. The Hong Kong equities business coverage includes agency cash equities plus a broad footprint of derivatives businesses including equity warrants, options market-making, ETF, convertible bonds, equity financing, stock borrow loan, DMA, algo trading, exotics, delta one. In conjunction with compliance officers across the region and other functional partners (including Legal, Internal Audit, Risk, Controllers, Treasury), you will be responsible for driving the management of compliance and regulatory risks, as well as ensuring the maintenance of relationships with senior business management. Simultaneously, you will ensure consistent adherence with all elements of our global compliance program, including transaction and program advice relating to new and existing products, key policies, marketing methods, booking structures, and the impact of regulatory change. In addition you will work with business management to build and maintain control mechanisms in compliance with local laws and regulations. Other aspects of the role include leading regulatory risk assessments, determining regulatory communication strategies and content, updating and establishing policies, and driving an appropriate training program in Hong Kong.
