The Analytics Design (AD) group within Enterprise Financial Crimes Compliance (EFCC) coordinates the Firm's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) transaction monitoring. AD is responsible for measuring the effectiveness of monitoring, developing new strategies to identify suspicious and high risk activity, and overseeing the operation of automated monitoring systems. The primary components of AD are:

This EFCC AD Compliance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the global AML monitoring strategy by ensuring the parameters and data for monitoring in the region are kept current and at a level necessary to help the AML Investigations team identify potentially suspicious activity. The Compliance analyst will support the Compliance Manager in the region to ensure the monitoring strategy includes adequate surveillance of high-risk products and high-risk clients. The analyst will help map data from regional processing systems into the automated AML Monitoring systems as required. Responsibilities:
- Support the regional Coverage Strategist by pulling key analytics and metrics on transactional activity related to high-risk products and high-risk clients
- Ensure all necessary data to sufficiently monitor the region for suspicious activity, is accurately flowing through AML monitoring systems
- Ensure support of the global monitoring strategies used to monitor high-risk products and high-risk clients within the LOB
- Understand the full business transaction from source systems into and through the monitoring systems
- Continuously monitor for process improvement optimization opportunities
- Know where and how to extract data (transactions, accounts and customer level data)
- Identify data deficiencies and offer solutions to resolve when gaps are apparent
- Provide consultation to LOB regarding the monitoring approach of new products
- Ensure the rules and alerts written for monitoring the region's products/clients are appropriately tuned and maintained
- Develop easy to understand and action oriented analytic reports to support rationale for systematic changes
- Foster a relationship with the business lines to integrate AML compliance within the organization's culture
