Job Duties:

• Responsible for calculating and validating profit/loss and position reports and reporting to senior management and trading personnel on a daily basis for both Economic and GAPP profit and loss for the Canada Energy business (crude, gas and power)
• Ensure that daily profit/loss produced by Product Controllers reconciles to daily estimate provided from Commercial group
• Provide analytical support to strategies, deals, etc., for all commodity trading activities and breakdown of profit/loss attribution
• Develop understanding of risk system to ensure accurate deal capture and reporting of structured and non-standard transactions
• Develop and produce daily, monthly and ad hoc reports for senior management
• Develop understanding of data flows and data requirements from Energy Trading/Risk Management system to ensure completeness of data flows to downstream organizations (Accounting, Market Risk, Credit, etc.)
• Coordinate with Front Office, Operations, and Risk to develop efficient controls and processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of trade data
• Review and assist with establishing appropriate reserves for Economic and GAAP valuation and reporting purposes
