Role Description Candidates will be expected to perform development of end user applications and data feeds, underpinned by relational databases. Development will be predominantly in Java, as well as PL/SQL and HTML/Javascript, adhering to Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate. In particular we are looking for senior developers who can help guide pragmatic technical deliveries towards a strategic architecture. The role will require proficiency in all aspects of software development, including:
  • Reviewing and elaborating stakeholder requirements, potentially with end users.
  • Designing solutions in a collaborative manner, and in line with defined principles
  • Implement solutions with an equal focus on both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Balancing pragmatic delivery with continual improvement of the technical architecture.
  • Delivery of automated functional tests using Flexible/Open Source Frameworks, such as FitNesse, JBehave etc
  • Understand operational processes in order to provide solutions which improve operational efficiency
  • Participate in a third level rota to provide 24/7 third line support for resolving critical application failures
Cash Management systems are responsible for processing and reporting on all Cash transactions, with technical challenges including low latency/high volume data feeds, multi-dimensional aggregation presentation, strong transaction management for absolute data integrity, and effective fault-tolerance for maximum availability.
