Quality Assurance / Application Developer role responsible for the development of Cash Management applications for JP Morgan Investment Bank Technology. Candidates will be expected to perform both the Quality Assurance and the Development of end user applications and data feeds, underpinned by a relational database. Development will be predominantly in Java, as well as PL/SQL and HTML/Javascript, adhering to Agile and Waterfall methodologies as appropriate. Quality Assurance responsibilities will include: champion and SME for effective automated functional testing; ensure development best practice standards are well understood and adhered to; perform administration of continuous integration environment; ensure source control and release management processes are well understood and adhered to; and review the regression and performance testing performed prior to a release to ensure appropriate coverage. The role will require proficiency in all aspects of software development, including:
  • Reviewing and elaborating stakeholder requirements
  • Designing solutions in a collaborative manner, and in line with defined principles
  • Implement solutions with an equal focus on both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Delivery of automated functional tests using Flexible/Open Source Frameworks, such as FitNesse
  • Understand operational processes in order to provide solutions which improve operational efficiency
  • Participate in a Rota to provide 24/7 third line support for resolving critical application failures
Cash Management systems are responsible for processing and reporting on all Cash transactions, with technical challenges including low latency/high volume data feeds, multi-dimensional aggregation presentation, strong transaction management for absolute data integrity, and effective fault-tolerance for maximum availability.
