Our Team The investment team is located around the globe to ensure strategic execution and dynamic monitoring of portfolios. Our portfolios are offered in private placement and mutual fund format. In addition to the multi-asset class strategies, the investment team manages a series of commingled alternative investment (hedge fund) portfolios as well as portfolios of managed equities. The Global Access team in EMEA is specifically responsible for managing 6 mutual funds (UCITS) and 1 managed equity portfolio. New funds and managed portfolios are expected to be launched, including some during 2013. The Role Global Access Portfolios are a suite of commingled multi-asset-class, multi manager fund of funds, offered to private and tax-exempt institutional clients globally. With Global Access, clients benefit from JPMorgan's sophisticated approach to asset allocation across traditional (equity and fixed income) and alternative (hedge funds and commodities) asset classes in a single investment. Each of our investment solutions reflects our vast market resources, broad global reach and rigorous risk management process as part of a boutique investment offering within JPMorgan Asset Management Solutions. Our strategic and tactical asset allocations, our response to changing market conditions and the portfolios we create for clients are all underpinned by the Global Access team's exacting analytics and at the same time informed by the firm's market view. Active management is the hallmark of the Global Access Portfolios which are designed with the potential to generate consistent returns while staying nimble enough to navigate today's dynamic and challenging markets. The portfolios are actively managed with a clear mandate to optimize specific risk-adjusted total return targets. The total AUM of the Global Access Portfolio team is $16 billion, including the $2.3 billion managed by the London team. AUM growth has been very strong since inception and is expected to continue. Requirements: The Investment Director (ID) will be embedded within the Portfolio Management Team in London and involved in all aspects of the investment process and portfolio management activities of the team. In addition, he or she will be part of the Global Access Investment Committee and subsequently assigned to an Asset Class Team. The Investment Director will be responsible for communicating key aspects of investment philosophy, process and performance to both internal and external clients. Internal parties include J.P. Morgan'sGlobal Wealth Management business: the Private Bank, Private Wealth Management and JPMorgan Asset Management Solutions. External clients consist of both current and prospective clients and may includeprivate as well as institutional clients. The Investment Director is a key representative for the Portfolio Management Team in EMEA, as well as outside of the region where the London-managed portfolios are distributed. He or she is expected to provide insights intomarkets, portfolio strategy and construction, individual managers and risk management. The successful candidate must have the ability to understand a wide variety ofinvesting styles across a range of asset classes (equity, fixed income and alternative investments). The environment is fast-paced, demanding and will require excellent time management skills. Travel is necessary. The Investment Director is expected to develop an understanding of the investment process associated with a variety of diversified global investment portfolios. He or she will work closely with the Global Access Client Portfolio Management Team, Global Access Investment Team and liaise with other Solutions experts and/or Asset Class Leaders to understand current portfolio strategies and investment rationale. In addition he or she will be expected to use available internal and external research resources tohelp explain and provide context for portfolio positioning, strategy and performance with the objective to help grow assets. The Investment Director may be required to take EMEA-based regulatory exams soon after joining the team.
