The Business Research Center (BRC) is a part of Global Corporate Finance Operations (GCFO). It combines a global network of research expertise with access to an ever-expanding range of information sources to meet the diverse business needs of J.P. Morgan Chase employees worldwide. Collaborating closely with each other and partnering with our clients, the BRC's highly trained staff add value by developing customized, targeted and efficient research strategies that deliver first-rate information in the most cost-effective and timely manner possible. In this fast paced environment, the demand for access to BRC research services beyond traditional working hours has expanded significantly. To meet this need, the BRC offices around the world are working closely together to create a new global BRC model. This new approach will allow researchers anywhere in the global BRC network to fulfill research requests regardless of where they originated. The process requires no change in the way that bankers submit and receive work. Regardless of where work is processed, bankers are notified by e-mail that work has begun on their requests, who is processing them and how the researchers can be contacted. This model more efficiently and effectively leverages global resources while enabling local BRCs to increase their focus on providing value-added services.
