The APAC Cash Prime Brokerage Middle Office team provide operational support for both Equities and Fixed Income activity for our Prime Brokerage and Broker Dealer clients. The role will be client facing and will require knowledge of Equity and Fixed Income (to include Repos) products and associated process. The team work with the business to provide a seamless and integrated experience to our clients. The main focus will be to manage and oversee the Middle Office Operations in Prime Brokerage accounts in the APAC region. The role requires also contains responsibility to provide oversight for other Operations teams. The manager will ensure excellent post trade client service and should have the ability to understand the issues at a high level as well as multitask to ensure that the risk of each transaction is correctly recorded. The candidate should be able to challenge status quo, while at all times being aware of controls and policies and ensuring adherence by the team and the business. Responsibilities are varied include (but not limited to):
  • Manage a Middle Office Team of 5 covering Margin, Corporate Actions and Transaction Support for Prime Brokerage Clients in Asia Pacific. Includes direct contacts with Prime Brokerage clients.
  • Single point of contact for a client portfolio, working closely with the business aligned Client Services Representatives.
  • Accurate maintenance implementation of financing levels set by Risk Management.
  • Manage exposures between cross products and act as a central point of contact for these products.
  • Responsibility for monitoring of equity release(s) from PB accounts.
  • Manage monitoring of account activity and account equity levels.
  • Investigating and resolving queries from clients, team members and other departments within the firm.
  • Responsible for timely clearance of client trades and breaks, and liaising with brokers to resolve discrepancies
  • Drive development strategically and tactically.
  • Establish strong partnership with Risk Management Client Service Teams within Prime Brokerage.
  • Create and maintain effective controls, including being up to date with financial regulations governing the APAC region.
  • Ensure flawless implementation of changes on industry wide initiatives
