Location: British Columbia-- Vancouver (Robson Street) Job Code: 2103 # of openings: 1 Description Key Leader ROBSON STREET THE MISSION OF A KEY LEADER (the Role): lululemon athletica is seeking an outstanding leader to act as Key Leader at the Robson Street store in Vancouver, BC. Under the supervision and direction of the Store Manager, the Key Leader assists in any leadership duties that arise. The Key Leader works directly with the Store Manager & Assistant Manager, as well as directly supervising the community leader and educator in the stores. As this position will work closely with the Store Leadership Team, the successful candidate will also supportthe general store operations function. The Key Leader is responsible for supervising the retail floor and take initiative, delegate work, provide feedback to the team, follow-up on outstanding issues, and be a star “go-to” person. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A KEY LEADER (the Tasks): · The key objective of this position is to ensure that the retail store runs well in the absence of the Manager or Assistant Manager. · Assist in the key aspects of store operations and ensure the successful delivery of the lululemon athletica culture, philosophy, values, and vision of raising the overall level of health in our communities. · Encourage and energize staff; and assist in evolving in-store functions and flow. · Directly supervise the Educator - Community Leader and other Educators when managing the floor. · Unpack boxes for inventory as required. Boxes can weigh 10 - 30 lbs. · Under the direction of the Store and Assistant Manager, perform and complete other additional projects, duties and assignments as required and/or requested. KEY LEADER ‘MUST HAVES’ (The Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications): · Passion, knowledge and involvement in yoga, and/or other fitness, health or sports activities required. As part of the Leadership Team, you are expected to be enrolled in and participating in weekly fitness activities in-and-out of the store with the store team. · Strong sense of personal style and athletically-minded. · Excellent team player and is able to work independently. · Extraordinary proven leadership capabilities. · Upbeat, optimistic, passionate, friendly, and authentic. · Responsible and dependable. · Proactive and solution-oriented. · Innovative and insightful around their responsibilities and how to improve them. · Excellent communication skills – verbal and written. · Extraordinary guest interaction, organizational, and time-management skills. · Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. · 1 year’s work experience in retail sales is preferred. A KEY LEADER’S WORK WEEK (the Hours): The Key Leader role is full-time and works an average of 24 to 40 hours per week. Time is spent supervising and educating on the retail floor; at least one day per week is a weekend day/night. SELF DEVELOPMENT/LEARNING (the Growth): The Key Leader is fully enrolled and is an advocate of the lululemon culture and the tools available for personal growth and development such as the library, Brian Tracy CD’s, Landmark Forum and goal coaching. She/he understands these tools and works to enroll the rest of the team in them. She/he also proactively acquires knowledge/education regarding the company’s general information, news bulletins, store policy, processes, quality control, new garments/styles, customer feedback/experiences, and staff information/communication by consistently reviewing the lululemon communication tools.
