Job Title - Software Quality Tester Job Aim - Perform software tests to ensure quality Responsibilities Review of software requirements, ensure requirements are covered in testing Identify the known constraints or expected problem test areas Detail production environment (servers, clients, network, infrastructure) Describe the customers acceptable performance criteria Ensure the testing design will support the reuse of test cases during regression testing Preparation of test cases Execution of tests Reporting of defects Preparation of test reports Essential Skills Knowledge of structured Software Testing across test phases (unit, integration, system, acceptance, regression) and test efficiencies (performance, stress, capacity, database), Proficiency in written and spoken English, Organized, Solid understanding of the software development process, Results-oriented, product focused with excellent ability to work cross functionally, A knack for figuring out how to break things, Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, Ability to work well with a team; values the project, company and co-workers, High energy and passion towards integrating new features, Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience, Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Qualifications 5 years of experience in testing through a full system development life-cycle 2 years+ experience using of automated test tools and related CASE applications, such as Rational Tools, and any enterprise or open source tools. Experience in several tools and processes preferred Experience in testing XML, Java, .Net, C++, database interface, SOLARIS, LINUX, and/or Windows system programming ASQ Certification a plus
