Position General Purpose Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer of the Yale Medical Group, work directly with the senior leadership team of YMG to develop, manage, and implement clinical affairs initiatives in support of the growth and enhancement of a world-class academic group practice.
Essential Duties 1. Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, lead, coordinate and implement large-scale projects that will streamline and improve clinical care and customer service across the clinical departments.
2. Representative Key project initiatives including:
a. Development and implementation of a comprehensive Risk Management infrastructure for all aspects of YMG's clinical enterprise. The individual will be expected to conceptualize and create a risk map, and develop and implement a communications and operational strategy.
b. Manage the development and implementation of best practice Quality and Safety standards across all YMG practices.
c. Assist in the development of faculty leadership and development programs to enhance the growth and success of the practice.
3. Create clear metrics for measuring and reporting the progress and success of the key project initiatives. Provide ongoing reports to the Chief Medical Officer of YMG.
4. Develop and prepare presentation material, including charts, graphs and PowerPoint displays, using ability to collect and organize complex datasets and present them in an effective and meaningful way to senior management.
5. Participate in management meetings. Work with the departmental management to develop agendas, track issues at meetings, and follow up and address departmental concerns related to areas of responsibility.
6. Participate in refining the identity and strategic mission of the Yale Medical Group and work to inculcate those values in staff.
7. Represent the YMG through direct communications with appropriate entities across the University and Medical school. This includes regular presentations to groups within departments.
8. Staff key committees such as practice Quality and Safety; Practice Operations & Standards; Clinical Leadership and workgroups; develop agendas, provide written summaries and coordinate presentations.
9. Oversee the recruitment and daily activities of students, interns and fellows.
10. Other special projects and initiatives as assigned.
11. Work closely with Yale New Haven Hospital counterparts on joint initiatives related to the practice.
Education and Experience 1. Bachelor's Degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field and five years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Additional Education and Experience 1. Five or more years of experience in complex project management.
2. Preferred: Master's Degree in Business Administration, and at least two years of experience working as a consultant.

16. Current on trends and changes in healthcare.
