This position is an opportunity to have significant responsibility within Kraft's largest commodity area ($2+ billion/year) while working with the first function to implement an SAP/APO Planning optimization solution.Exposure to multiple functions includes Dairy Procurement, Product Supply,RD, Kraft Plants Finance, while working in a closely knit team oriented enviroment. The candidate will also be exposed to 3rd Party owned inventory vendors, and a network of 3rd party owned storage locations. Exposure and leadership of risk management strategy execution and productivity related initiatives is frequent. This position provides an idea lend-to-end supply chain management opportunity for short shelf life raw materials that support both high rotation as well as highly seasonal finished goods categories. This role will provide a unique knowledge foundation for anyone interested in growing responsibilities within the Cheese BU.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this job are to develop and manage Raw Material procurement, inventory, and distribution plans utilizing the Dairy Ingredients Supply Chain Optimization (DISCO) solution, built upon SAP/APO. DISCO is a planning optimization system designed to help Kraft supply dairy raw materials and formulate for least cost. Responsibilties will include:
  • Leading monthly IBP (SOP) Dairy Ingredients Supply Strategy meeting
  • Interpreting Kraft's finished product formulations for inclusion in the system
  • Linking with Product Supply and Manufacturing partners to ensure production plans accuracy
  • Developing Supply plans and analyzing risks and opportunities
  • Analyze different scenarios to avoid business disruptions
  • Monitoring and managing shelf life issues
  • Maintaining model parameters in SAP
  • Leading cost reduction analyses
  • Managing dry ingredients inventory levels and reporting to Finance
  • Manage materials management related activities for dry ingredients, including 3rd party owned program.
Candidate will be expected to become an expert in Dairy and be comfortable with complex analysis and SAP BI/Excel/Access tools.
Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Science or Finance
  • Willing to travel 5 %
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory management or supply chain logistics
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in production planning and/or fulfillment planning (preferred)
