Job Description: Responsible for achieving optimum national sales consistent with budgeted profit and selling expenses. Responsible for directing the sales function of the division through subordinate managers. Responsible for ensuring maximum sales volume and profits of a division's products and services. Responsible for related sales operation and administration. Develops sales plans and budgets for achieving sales goals in conjunction with subordinate sales positions. May manage all aspects of the sales function including inside sales, outside sales and customer service teams. Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. May require master's degree. Must have a minimum of 8 years relevant sales experience. Generally requires at least 7 years of increasing scope as a people manager. Requires knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources. Must be able to manage the work of team members to optimize performance. Requires expert abilities with building relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating and managing time. Requires knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Knows principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Must have excellent written and verbal communication. Requires substantial industry and product knowledge. Must be able to use Microsoft Office. Requirements Basic Function: As the lead Sales executive, this position is responsible for maximizing sales volume, price, market share, mix and profit of Allied Residential, Commercial, Magic Pak and Tech Choice product lines. Leads and manages all aspects of the sales function including inside sales, outside sales and business development. Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities: * Creates strategies and executes tactics to deliver revenue, mix, market share, price, and profitability objectives. * Recruit, develop and incent sales organization to support metrics driven performance culture. * Proactive collaboration with cross functional / cross business teams to maximize value delivered to customers. * Ensure Allied Air Enterprises Advantage on products and services is clearly communicated and is effectively delivered throughout the value chain. * Execute account plans as an ongoing process to maintain close relationships and alignment with strategic partners for profitable growth. * Continuously refine 3-year long range strategic distribution roadmap and ensure tactical execution of business development, channel management, attrition mitigation & marketing plans to support long range strategy. * Develops negotiating teams and strategy: leads negotiations to deliver agreed upon mix and share of market goals. * Apply analytical skills to develop and leverage appropriate metrics to drive performance across key sales processes. * Integrate Salesforce.com discipline into daily workflow to better segment customer base, build robust pipeline and forecast accuracy (monthly, quarterly and annually). * Develop and reinforce a culture of high performance through excellence in the areas of employee recruitment, retention, personal development and performance management. * Coordinate, lead and implement training and development strategies required to meet the needs of sales teams and the overall strategic direction of the company. * Represent the company at industry events and activities to promote a positive image of the company as a key OEM in the industry. Organizational Relationships: This position reports directly to the Vice President and General Manager and has daily interaction and collaboration with all levels of employees including other staff members and management employees, as well as other LII business segments. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. Master's degree is preferred. Must have a minimum of 8 years relevant sales experience with increasing scope as a people manager / leader. Demonstrated ability to build and motivate sales teams and consistently execute a value proposition to maximize value to customer.
