Lennox Industries, Inc. recognized as a premium manufacturer of residential and commercial heating and air conditioning equipment, has an immediate opportunity for aField Technical Consultantworking with Lennox Residential business customers and outside sales personnel in the Boston District. The successful candidate will provide the following: * technical training throughout the district, * technical support to Lennox customers and district sales personnel, * deal with customer complaints, * provide early identification of technical problems to product managers and other appropriate corporate staff, and * establish supportive partnerships with customers. Job Description: Under general supervision, develops and delivers training courses for training customers or technical employees in the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC products. Troubleshoots technical inquiries. Identifies customer needs. Investigates and resolves technical inquiries. Assists in developing, testing, and maintaining courses and materials used in training. Assists in establishing course content and student learning objectives. May prepare course syllabus, lesson plans, and student manuals, and coordinate the development of training aids. Reviews problem areas and identifies training needs. Develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. Updates course materials on a continuous basis to ensure timeliness and relevance. Conducts training using all methods of delivery. High school or equivalent required. Two year college degree, HVAC degree, technical certification or bachelor's degree preferred. Typically requires at least 2 years relevant training experience in addition to at least 5 years technical experience. Advanced knowledge of assigned products and the application of diagnostic techniques and service aids. Knowledge and ability to apply learning theories to classroom situations. Developed presentation skills using a variety of technologies. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Individual must have some sales ability along with a track record of fostering solid customer relationships. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Proficient in leading WebEx meetings. Requirements This position requires: * degree. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years experience, * comprehensive HVAC knowledge [Residential and Commercial] to include training and application skills, * ability to pass NATE exam, * strong verbal and written communication skills, * must have some sales ability along with a track record of fostering solid customer relationships, * product issue investigation and resolution, product training, consumer inquiries, and special field assignments will be required, * must have good presentation skills and the ability to cummunicate technical information to technicians as well as sales people, and * prefer applicant to be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. As subject matter expert, this position supports the sales efforts of the local sales teams and works to enhance account relationships, directly contributing to continuing profitable company growth.
