Why do we need this position?

Lexmarks Operational Excellence Strategy is to create, manage, and sustain world-class customer facing and business processes, and to drive Lean across the entire Enterprise. The Corporate OE team spearheads and supports initiatives necessary to drive this strategy.

Whats the focus of this position?

This position is for a member of the Corporate Operational Excellence Team who works with the Global Supply Chain Operations teams to drive Lean across the entire Enterprise. This includes all global material manufacturing, customization, distribution and transportation, and transactional processes across Supply Chain, Services, Marketing and Sales support, Finance, etc. In addition, this team utilizes Operational Excellence methods to drive the redesign of key customer touch-point processes and business processes.

What will I do in this position?

Conduct Value Stream Improvement workshops and Kaizen events utilizing both Lean and Six Sigma tools with a primary and strategic focus on Lean.

Mentor, coach and develop worldwide full time and embedded part-time resources through hands-on improvement projects.

Conduct Lean Assessments, ensuring proper follow-on activities to drive foundational improvements in Lean

Plan, support and provide training/mentoring to others in the Lean and Six Sigma methodology and in implementing measurable operational improvements

Identify and remove barriers to successful project completion

Provide management with project status updates, including identification of operational roadblocks.

What do I need to bring to this position?

BS degree in a Technical Field. Graduate degree a plus.

Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt or Lean Master with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing, Transactional or R&D areas.

Experienced team leader with proven problem solving experience and process focus

Strong manufacturing operations and transactional skills with demonstrated accomplishments, both technically and culturally,

Excellent understanding of analytical tools and proficiency in probability and statistics. Must have strong capability in flowcharting, VSM, Statistics and basic MS Office applications.

Excellent training and presentation skills with solid communication capabilities and practices, both oral and written.

Demonstrated influencing skills, including management up to and including division President and CEO.

Excellent working knowledge of the principles and philosophies of A3 problem solving, including mentor training and development.
