The Personal Insurance PropertyTeam at Liberty Mutual is currently building outits team in order to better define and improve the process around Homeowners Property Loss Claims. One aspect of those losses relates to catastrophic (CAT) events. Although these are not every day occurrences, it is important that we have a well-defined process to address the losses resulting from such an event. As the Assistant Director/Director of the CAT Process you will be responsible for assisting in defining the current process and working with our business partners in improving that process to ensure the programs and standard policies and procedures support the overall department goals and objectives. You will interact with all levels within the Personal Insurance organization to improve results across key performance measures of loss, expense, customer service, and employee satisfaction. Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the development and continuous improvement of the catastrophe (CAT) process and playbook as it relates to Personal Insurance Property Claims
  • Identifies opportunities for CAT playbook and process improvements that will result in a positive impact on Loss, Expense and/or Customer Service
  • Assists in the management and execution of the CAT playbook during CAT events
  • Builds and manages cross functional project teams as dictated by specific initiatives
  • Translates property process needs into a comprehensive project plan/business case which ensures successful project acceptance, initiation and completion.
  • Negotiates project/analysis scope, objectives, timelines, data requirements and measurements with Senior Managers and all levels of stakeholders across the Property operation.
  • Conceptualizes immediate and long-range process needs with respect to solving specific business challenges/strategic goals. Must understand how project goals relate to business objectives of the Property operation.
  • Prepares regular presentations regarding project status and keeps Managers informed of project direction, timelines and renegotiates direction as necessary.
  • Makes presentations on analysis, measurement and recommendations.
  • Acts as a resource to Personal Insurance Central Catastrophe Unit, Field Operations, APD, Examining, Quality Assurance, Claims Systems and Claims Training.
  • Represents department in interdepartmental meetings and task forces to provide information and recommendations.
