  • Job Summary:   This position will support LLUMC’s strategic plan and the organization’s mission to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ, while embracing the core values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Wholeness. Member of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation treatment team providing and coordinating progressive therapeutic programs to individuals and groups. Responsible for evaluating and treating patients and communicating to the team information concerning leisure activities. Supervise Activity Leader and/or Recreational Therapist as assigned. Performs other duties as needed.   Job Specifications :   Ability to manipulate. Fluent in verbal and written English. Demonstrate the ability to meet documentation standards. Cooperates with management and other associates in achieving organizational goals, clinical program mission, rehabilitation institute mission and hospital mission. Consistently demonstrates a positive attitude. Consistently demonstrates constructive interpersonal skills with staff, colleagues, patients and all consumers, i.e. explores other’s differing viewpoints, discuss solutions, etc. Advanced planning and organizational skills, critical thinking, setting and (quickly) resetting priorities, creation of suitable systems for complex maintenance and archiving of documents, anticipation of department needs for training or assistance, clear communication in English, orally and in writing. BA in Recreation Administration with emphasis in Therapy. Successful completion of accredited recreational therapy program. Registered as a Recreational Therapist. Current CTRS certification.
